When Bad Things Happen to Good People

It was the third or fourth time George had come back to the group after a relapse into drinking. And the third or fourth time he had elaborate explanations about why it happened. This one had been caused by worry over his debts, he told us. The one before, as I recalled, had all been his wife's fault. She argued with him and got him upset, so naturally he started to drink.
