As my twenty-first anniversary of sobriety approaches, I am concerned about the number of AA members who seem to drop out. Our area has very few active AAs with eight to nineteen years--there seem to be more in the nineteen to thirty-five year group who are active. My own journey in AA included a ten-year period from five or six years to fifteen or sixteen years when I thought I was doing real well on one meeting a week. I have since become more active, attending three to five meetings a week.
