A snug harbor

At sea you learn to enjoy waking up to a calm morning, lying at anchor in a quiet bay with a mist over the shore and no one moving in the village 300 yards astern. So it was on a sunny morning in 1984. We were returning from a year's sail down the coast of Mexico as far as Acapulco. It had been a wonderful trip, a fulfillment of a lifetime dream. Three men in a small boat.
