That Windbag Next Door

Lately I've been doing a lot of thinking. The AA program has a way of bringing about this state of affairs, and although it is not always comfortable, it usually pays off in the long run. During my early drinking days, before I became too numb to think, I knew of a certainty that everyone else was wrong and I, of course, was always right. Gradually, though, it has been brought home to me that very often other people's ideas are pretty good. I also have found that I have quite a bit of work to do on myself. Enough, perhaps, to keep me occupied with my own inventory instead of making lists of defects for others to correct.
