Small Wonders

They told me when I came to AA that I had a threefold illness--physical, mental, and spiritual. As I went through withdrawal from alcohol, I quickly understood the physical aspect of the disease. It took me a little longer to get used to the idea that there was something wrong with me mentally. Eventually, though, I was able to see that the way I view the world is hardly "normal."
