WE FOUND SOME WRY OBSERVATIONS about alcoholics in the Washington, D.C. New Reporter: "One of the most difficult things an AA speaker has to learn is not to nod when the chairman is praising him." And here's one that has a familiar ring: "An alcoholic thinker is the person who watches the 5 o'clock news, the 6 o'clock news, and the 7 o'clock news--and keeps hoping it will get better."
