Camino a La Sobriedad
On the third pull of the starter cord, the outboard motor purrs reassuringly. The moon is just coming up over the horizon as I back the dinghy away from the dock. The Southeast trades are blowing afresh. The harbor is choppy--whitecaps are everywhere. I try to stay in the lee. If the higher power sees to it that the spark plugs won't foul just now, it looks as if I'll actually make the meeting on time.
