Carrying the Flag

At the suggestion of an AA friend of mine, I came to Portugal to enjoy retirement in a country offering a good climate and a low cost of living. Before I finally left my home in Virginia, I got in touch with two persons listed in the International AA Directory. When I arrived in Lisbon, via freighter from New Bedford, Massachusetts, they were there to meet me, and thus began my connection with Alcoholics Anonymous in Portugal.
