Ham on Wry

WHILE READING through the Grapevines of the 1940s recently, we came upon a good deal of humor from those early years, and decided to share it with current day Grapevine readers in this month's Ham on Wry. We'll start off with an item from March 1945 about two of the many new groups that were bustin' out all over: "The Middle West has two new, thriving groups--with a Before and After sound--one in Painsville, Ohio, and the other in Blissfield, Michigan."
