I am an alcoholic. My name is Vera J. I am an Indian. I grew up on a reserve with six brothers, six sisters, and alcoholic parents. I started to drink at the age of fourteen--good ole wine. I got into car accidents, but I was tough, I was an Indian. I ran away from home, ended up with my boyfriend at age sixteen, married and had a baby boy at seventeen. Fast life, no time to grow up.
