No More Pills and Paraldehyde
In June of last year my group gave me a medallion and cut a most delicious cake to help celebrate forty-two years of dryness into sobriety. Members sometimes inquire about the "Old Days," and more frequently I tell 'em without being asked. It recently occurred to me that a Grapevine squib might be in order, but then came the thought that for years all I knew of the outside AA world is what I read in said Grapevine, being isolated here in a small mountain desert village, even though our group is most active, with plenty of input from Phoenix.
