Testimony Enough

These reassuring words have started many a desperate alcoholic on the road to recovery--or so it is hoped. What follows is the shared experience of eleven AA members who have been on the telephone "firing line."

I want to share my courage, strength, and hope, which I now know is one of the rewards of service in AA. And I want to thank everyone at the intergroup office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where I got sober, for allowing me to be of service as a telephone volunteer.

As I look back now I realize what a great lesson I learned. We all have something to give AA. Our sobriety is testimony enough to the one who still suffers.
