Beyond the Apron Strings

Looking back at my first year in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, I now see I used it to merely stay sober. I thought back then the real reason I was going to those meetings was so I wouldn't drink. There were times I felt like I was barely going to survive in a world I didn't understand--and wasn't sure I wanted to.
