I am writing in response to V. J.'s letter from Minneapolis, Minn. in the September '88 Grapevine. It hurts me to hear that AA's unity is being threatened. No one has the right to ask any member to leave an AA meeting--because they're gay or for any other reason. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. Maybe we all (myself included) need to remind ourselves of that.
