Let's speak up!

I share the observations and reactions that Jim N. ("A Toast to Our Future") wrote about in the August 1988 issue regarding the proliferation of "recovery buzz words" in meetings these days. In the short seven years I've been sober I have seen (and worried about) the same changes he identified. I go to some meetings and come away realizing that we spent more time talking about the problem than we did about the solution. My family was none-too-functional, either, but AA has taught me how to accept the things I cannot change, and how to forgive.
