With just a little over 3 years of sobriety, I have to rely on hearsay, books, and the Grapevine to write on the question posed above. As I understand it, our group is 43 years old, yet I am the group's "old-timer." We have a few people in the group with over a year's sobriety and a few more who are approaching their first anniversary. We are an inner-city group and are shut off from the larger world of AA. Few of us have cars, but we have the program and the Traditions to carry us.
