Alcoholics Anonymous is the single greatest society in the world for those with our type of problem. The whole concept of AA is based on change and growth. The Big Book states that the "attitudes, ideas and emotions that were once the guiding force in our lives had to be cast aside and a new set adopted." Change. As we continue reading, we find that "some of us have tried to hold on to our old ideas and the result was nil until we let go absolutely." Change, again.
