A very worthwhile person

I've been a Grapevine subscriber since 1951 even though I enjoyed many of your original newspaper size editions when I first came to AA in 1946. I was a "hard head," but I kept coming back and in October 1951 the magic of AA descended upon me--and I "ain't never" been the same since. Thirty-seven-and-a-half years of joyful, productive sobriety--and you can believe I feel younger at seventy than I did at thirty. I many adventures with the "gang" at the 24th Street Clubhouse--Bill always was the "Picker-Upper" when I slunk back into the clubhouse after a session with insanity. But it was our dear Lois (RIP) who provided the of a thought that the alcoholic was a very worthwhile person--I believed her and filed this pertinent information in the back of my thick skull.
