I Always Got What I Wanted

Today I am two years old. But in two years I have grown by leaps and bounds. I have learned to listen to my elders (and sometimes my youngers) and have triumphantly emerged from that snakepit of alcoholic hell to the level of sanity known as sobriety. I am grateful. I am alive. I am alive and grateful only because someone helped me and showed me the way. At fifty-six, after losing the last and final bout with King Alcohol, I finally found acceptance.
