Why Not Turn to an Old-timer?

First published in June of 1944, the Grapevine, our old-timer in print, has been absolutely sober ever since--and hasn't missed a monthly meeting yet! And like most old-timers, the Grapevine has gone through plenty of changes. We've gained pages, lost pages, gone up and down in size, circulation, and legibility; editors, staff people, and employees of all kinds have come and gone. We've been called too sickly sweet, we've been called too controversial. Some subscribers have been renewing faithfully for thirty, forty or more years; some have subscribed for a year and cancelled after one month. There are so many contradictions, so many paradoxes--and yet, one thing remains: the Grapevine is AA's international monthly journal.
