PO Box 1980

A small price to pay

This letter is in response to the letter "Lack of Power" by B.C. of Oak Lawn, Ill. (January 1989). I have been a member of AA since 1984 and find meetings very enjoyable. Sure, sometimes there is a person who is complaining about something that I think is trivial, but if listening to this person is going to help them stay sober, it's a small price to pay. Besides, I have seen newcomers scared away by a well intentioned "old-timer" telling them how the program should be worked. (Everyone should work their own program, their own way. As long as they stay sober, that's all that counts.)
