After reading "Talking the Talk" in the August Grapevine, I feel compelled to write. I am one of those alcoholics who went into a treatment center. While there I discovered I was cross-addicted as well. Before I entered treatment I was suicidal and close to losing my mind. I was totally out of control. AA was not able to help me at that time. In treatment I got an education about my disease and life. I went in with an empty tool box and came out with a full one. The treatment center was a vital part of my recovery, for without it I wouldn't be alive to reap the full benefits of AA today.
