The Elephant's Graveyard

My name is Susan and I am a grateful recovering alcoholic. I can say that today and not only understand what it means but mean it as well. I am grateful because I have been given a gift that is greater than anything I ever dreamed of when I was drinking and using: the gift of life. I was the kind of person who went through life miserable. I accepted this because I did not know there was anything else and even if there was, I did not feel that I deserved it.
