I am very new to AA and am coming up on my 90-day mark. My home group supplies us newcomers with stacks of old Grapevines, books and other AA literature. The Grapevines I read with great interest, the opinions are real, negative or positive. I really don't know where I would be if it weren't for them (and my sponsor!). I have received a total of three phone numbers since entering this program. The loneliness is sometimes unbearable! But I read and pray a lot to overcome it. I go to meetings early and hang around afterward, only to be told to "Keep coming back, we care" as members of the group brush past me.
