Our Common Welfare. . .

You'll notice something a little different in the Grapevine this month: a contribution envelope bound-in for the convenience of AA members and groups who want to help support the work of AA's General Service Office. GSO provides a wide range of services to AA in the U. S., Canada, and around the world: answering the questions of perplexed AAs about difficult situations in their groups; setting up correspondence services for Lone members and alcoholics in prisons and other institutions; providing accurate information about AA to the media; cooperating with professionals and outside agencies that work with suffering alcoholics; producing newsletters and guidelines that share AA experience on many facets of the Fellowship's life; and coordinating such major AA events as the annual General Service Conference and the upcoming 55th Anniversary International Convention in Seattle. The AA Archives, too, are located at GSO.
