Shouting at speakers

"What's in a Name?" (January '90 issue) brought up one of my pet peeves, which is when a speaker gets up to the podium and is nervous or for some reason forgets to identify himself and the group shouts out, "What's your name?" How rude and embarrassing. Where does it say that we have to identify ourselves? It is a nice custom, but if someone forgets I feel we should let it go. I don't know if this happens in all areas but it does occur in meetings that I attend.
