A brief answer to several of those who wrote in the June issue. If so many people are unhappy with the number of twelve step fellowships using the AA program, what happened to "I want the hand of AA always to be there. . ."? Don't these people read the Big Book anymore? Dr. Bob was dual dependent, and on page 439 we have the story, "Doctor, Alcoholic, Addict." If people complain about addicts, etc. using the program, they aren't practicing the Steps. I'm here because of AA; it saved my life, and I did not have a booze problem to begin with. As AAs, we should be proud and honored that Bill W. and Dr. Bob gave every suffering alcoholic and addict that wants it a great life.
