Dear God: Keep Coming Back

I was pretty sick and confused in my early sobriety, and so to keep everything really simple when it came to the question of God, I paraphrased the Third Step this way: Whoever it is up there who took care of me as I staggered from barroom to barroom, who guided me while I drove home in a blacked-out condition, who stopped me from seriously injuring my wife and children, who kept me from killing myself when I was dangerously out of control, please continue with this daily care, because now I'm aware of the intercession and I'm truly grateful for it.
