One decent person

I am a single black man, 26 years old. I hit bottom in the Armed Services, where I was sent to treatment for six weeks as an in-patient. During the first week or so I became worried that other black people never really get sober. As if it was new to me, I realized after six months of not drinking that I was a black man. I went to my counselor who was also an AA member, but he already understood my problem before I did.
