Progression

December 25, 1986, 6:15 A.M.: Came to, crying, early this morning. Tongue glued to roof of mouth. Merry Christmas. Dog turned away, facing corner of bedroom, disgusted. Storm blowing outside; very quiet, gray, depressing. Sat up in bed and screamed, "God help me!" Went to kitchen to look up Alcoholics Anonymous in phone book. Have no idea why. (Visited by Ghost of Christmas Past. . . Christmas Yet To Come?) Scared.
