A Meaning Beyond the Words

In a way, Step Two has not been a problem to me, and in another way it has been very sticky. When I first staggered into AA, my powers of comprehension were shot. I looked at the Steps and just saw words--it was a good meeting if I managed not to drool. It took me a week to learn the difference between the Big Book and the Bible. Neither of them made very much sense and both had an awful lot about God.
