With the hundreds of meetings in New York City's Greenwich Village, you might think it unusual for this AA to express gratitude to the Grapevine ("our meeting in print"). But moving within the city can be as difficult as moving from the moon, and I recently found myself bounding from exhaustion to euphoria on a minute-by-minute basis. Lots of meetings, lots of calls, lots of reliance on sponsors, old-timers, newcomers. . . But more than once in the middle of the night I found myself reading a copy of the Grapevine cover to cover to transport myself away from the mounds of boxes (and craziness).
