Vive La Difference!
Right now my sobriety and my life depend on Alcooliques Anonymes of Aquitaine Sud in the southwestern corner of France. I moved here, to the city of Biarritz on the Atlantic Ocean next to Spain, in October 1989. I brought a smattering of French and twelve years of sobriety with me. Since coming, my French has progressed to about a medium level of understanding, and I've formed some wonderful AA friendships that I'm sure will last after I leave.
