Higher Power on Loan

My sponsor came to me when I needed her most and wanted her least. She approached me in the recovery house I found myself in, introduced herself as B., and said she would be my sponsor. Having been clean and sober only a few days, the last thing I wanted was a sponsor. I was angry and frightened, and I knew I couldn't get through another night without a drink.
