Ham on Wry
DURING PROHIBITION, a bootlegger named Peterson used a dog named Booze to guard his still. One day a truck came around the mountain road and hit Booze, severing his tail clean off. Peterson ran out, sat down in the road, and started sewing the dog's tail back on. Just then the sheriff showed up and arrested him "for retailing Booze without a license."
