Children at meetings

I recently attended a GSR meeting where Tradition One was being discussed. One of the members asked for an example of a problem where Tradition One would set the precedent for the solution. Another member brought up the issue of children at AA meetings having been a problem for a couple of groups that he attends. The group conscience at both meetings voted to ban children from the meetings citing the fact that the welfare of the group was jeopardized by the mere presence of the children, no matter how good they were.
