Desperado

The sometimes attractive woman in her late twenties painfully turns over and shuts off the alarm. It has been ringing for more than half an hour. Thick, oily, 80-proof sweat oozes from the woman's pores. The already hot, humid August day is obviously going to be as oppressive as the last seven. Two thoughts emerge from her pickled brain. The first is of her body demanding something cold and wet to drink. Her second thought is a question. She wonders where she is.
