City slicker

One of the benefits of having a wife who works for an airline is the opportunity to travel as a standby passenger at very low cost. The only requirement of the airline is that all staff passengers should dress becomingly so as not to offend full-fare passengers. Well, my wife was given a trip to Japan with four days off enroute in the depths of Alaska, so I decided to join her on the journey. In true grandiose alcoholic fashion I set off for the airport clothed in a designer suit. Brooks Brothers shirt, silk tie, highly polished shoes, and aftershave that could kill at twenty paces (half measures avail us nothing).
