Proof Positive

At a recent meeting, a newcomer asked: "How soon can I expect results?" The chairperson asked: "What do you mean by results?" After some stammering the newcomer blurted out, almost in tears, "When will I stop feeling so bad?" As it was close to the end of the meeting, there wasn't time to really cover the subject, so after the meeting one of the old-timers took the newcomer off for coffee and an after-meeting discussion.
