I got sober in AA in 1959 and have stayed that way ever since. On that basis, I could probably be considered an old-timer. And as the saying goes, you can always tell an old-timer--but you can't tell him much. Right? Well, the strange thing is that in recent weeks I've had a few short timers telling me things that made quite a lot of sense.
