No Matter How Far Down the Scale

It's okay to be a high-bottom drunk. But this is something I have struggled with for the first three years of my sobriety. We all hear horror stories at AA meetings--stories of abuse, dashed marriages, crashed cars, and drunk-caused deaths. I have had a hard time identifying with low-bottom drunks because none of these things happened to me. Doubt has sometimes entered my mind. Am I really an alcoholic? Just as when I was drinking, I was comparing instead of looking for similarities.
