A Quiet Progression
At last it was obvious to me: I had a drinking problem, but was I a full-fledged alcoholic? Wasn't an alcoholic someone who beat his wife, neglected his children, or sat on a bar stool day in and day out? Many people believe this, but I knew better a long time ago. Even so, it took me a while to face the facts and find the courage to ask for help.
