The Breaking Point
My wife and I separated this past summer. She moved out of our house in July and rented an apartment in San Francisco. Her decision to end our seven-year marriage was a shock. Maybe it shouldn't have been. Nevertheless, I had been happy enough. But she was not. After the separation I know what I should have done. I once heard an AA speaker say that if you love someone, you want that person to be happy. And if she is happy being someplace else, then wish her well and let her go.
