The Dawn of a New Day

While I was on the AA state committee, I received a call from Sister Alicia in the town of Santa Maria Alotepec Mixe. Her parish served the Mixe people. She had heard about AA in Mexico City and decided to ask for our help. She told me the problem of alcoholism was a desperate one in the entire region. She wanted us to bring AA to the Mixes. When I heard her story, my immediate response was: "Of course we'll go."
