A NEWLY RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC was having a difficult time understanding the concept of spirituality, and he let everyone know of his frustration. A carpenter by trade, he was talking one day to his sponsor, who noticed a ladder in the back of his truck. Trying to get the guy to lighten up a little, the sponsor joked, "Ah, I see you're trying to work the Steps."
