Overcoming Depression and Fear

Admitting that you are an alcoholic is a humbling experience. It is also a joyous time for a troubled mind. When I entered my first AA meeting, I was scared because I didn't believe anything could help me with my drinking problem. But for the past twelve years, through the help of AA. I have not had a drink nor wanted one. The first ten years were mostly secure and filled with acceptance about life. Then something happened. I'm telling this story because it has a happy ending and because others may experience the same thing but fail to return to AA.
