Breaker, Breaker

I pulled my 18-wheel tractor trailer off the interstate and into the truckstop, somewhere in Indiana. It was seven o'clock on a Monday night. My home group in Toms River, New Jersey would be starting its meeting in an hour, and this was anniversary night. I had been promised by my boss that I would be back in time so I could celebrate my second anniversary. (I was on the road for my first one also.) Now I had all four of the HALT symptoms: I was hungry, angry, lonely, and very tired.
