Responses to a "chronic relapser
I was compelled to write this letter in response to the lady named Rita G. in the January 1993 issue ("We Who Cannot Help Ourselves"). I can only offer her what AA has given me--a daily reprieve from my illness. AA is a "we" program, but there are things that I alone must do--like, not pick up the first drink, and go to meetings.
