Ambition and Gratitude

. . .I don't see any particular conflict between ambition and gratitude. I think you should be terribly grateful that you are able to be ambitious--ambitious, I mean, in the best sense of the word. You wish to get along in the world, and I see that you are taking steps to do so. Just follow the rules of the game as you have learned them in AA. We are expected to be citizens of the world as well as AA members. . .
