PO Box 1980
I read in the May 1993 edition ("Starting Over. . .and Over") how Deborah C. was "trying to practice HALT." In southern British Columbia HALT is another way of saying Hungry, Angry, Lonely, and Tired--a convenient checklist for why I might be suffering from "stinking thinking" or feeling restless, irritable, and discontent. But I've become curious. Are there other sayings, acronyms, or handy phrases used commonly, but with different meanings in different parts of the country?
